Cash
Purchase tickets with indentity documents at ticket machine or counter. The ticket machines accept RMB ¥5, ¥10, ¥20, ¥50, and ¥100, and available to the Chinese 2nd generation residents ID and Residence Permit for HK, MO, and TW Residents holders. For the holders with other identity documents, you may purchase tickets at counter. Use the blue gate and place your indentity document for entry and exit.
Transit card
Transit cards below are available for designated identity document holders and after registering the transit card at the designated kiosk in red.
Designated indentity documents include: Chinese 2nd generation residents ID (not less than 14 years old), passport, and Residence Permit for HK, MO, and TW Residents.
Steps for ID registration:
- Tap 'Ride with Real-name'(实名乘车);
- Place your transit card on the transit card reader;
- Place your identity document on the identity document reader;
- Look at the camera for face recognition authentication.
Use the red gate, tap your registered transit card on the reader of gate for entry and exit. Face recognition authentication may also required when exit. The balance need to be over ¥34.
Yang Cheng Tong (Lingnan Pass) 
The discount cards (for student and senior, etc.) are not available.

Available on apps below. Use the red gate, show Transit QR Code to the gate for entry and exit. Face recognition authentication may needed again when exit.

Available on apps below. Use the blue gate, show Transit QR Code to the gate. The balance need to be over the maximum fare of the line when entering the gate. (¥34 at Guangzhou–Qingyuan Intercity and Guangzhou East Ring Intercity, and ¥153 at Guangzhou–Zhaoqing Intercity and Guangzhou–Huizhou Intercity.)

Use Railway 12306 (铁路12306) to purchase tickets online. Use the blue gate and place your indentity document for entry and exit.
Attention
Free of charge for entering and exit at the same station in 20 minutes, or a minimum on-way fare in the network would be charged. If you do not exit in 360 minutes after entering the paid-area, the overtime fee (the highest one-way fare in the network) and the fare of current journey will be charged. Please do not stay overtime.
One adult passenger can bring one child who not over 5 years old for free. Children’s ticket needed for children who over 5 years old but not over 13 years old. General ticket needed for children who over 13 years old.
One person can only authenticate one transit card. You can cancel the authentication of an existing transit card and authenticate a new transit card.
